Hambden Township Park and Recreation Rules and Regulations
Pursuant to the authority vested the Board of Township Trustees by provisions of sec. 511.23, Ohio Revised Code, the following rules and regulations are hereby made and adopted concerning the use of all township-owned lands and designated as park or recreation areas located in Hambden Township, Ohio. Hambden Township Park is open from sunrise to sunset.
It Shall be Unlawful
1. To enter, use or occupy township-owned lands for any purposes when said lands are posted against such entry, use or occupancy as determined by the Board of Township Trustees.
2. To destroy, damage, or remove any shrub, wild flower, or other vegetation or to destroy, damage, deface or remove any township property.
3. For any person to enter or remain in the Township Park or recreation area between dusk and dawn or earlier without special permission.
4. To peddle or solicit business of any nature, or to distribute handbills or other advertising matter. To post signs on any lands, structures or property, or to use such areas as a base of commercial operations, or to charge an admission, or fee, to any activity without written permission of an authorized representative of the Board of Township Trustees.
5. To use a loudspeaker, public address system, or sound amplifying equipment of any kind, without a permit issued by an authorized representative of the Board of Township Trustees. To operate any motor, motor vehicle, radio, television, or any device in such a manner that it produces excessive noises.
6. For any person to consume intoxicating liquor, beer, malt liquor, or wine, to be intoxicated or under the influence of unlawful drugs, or to engage in any violent, abusive or loud, boisterous, vulgar, lewd, wanton, obscene or otherwise disorderly conduct tending to create a breach of the peace or to disturb or annoy others. To lounge, sit or lie upon walkways, passages, or steps or to obstruct the free passage of others. To build fires except in designated area approved by an authorized representative of the Board of Township Trustees.
7. To litter, or to deposit refuse or waste material that has been accumulated outside the park area, in receptacles provided for Park uses.
8. For any person to posses a glass container of any kind within areas normally used as playgrounds.
9. To operate or park a motor vehicle, except on roads or designated parking area. To operate a motor vehicle on any park road
10. To operate any off-the-road motor driven vehicles such as a mini-bike, motorcycle, snowmobile, amphibious vehicle or any motorized device except on designated roads, trails or areas provided for such use.
11. To posses a dog or other animal in a township park or recreation area unless the same shall be under immediate control on a leash not exceeding six (6) feet in length. To leave a dog or other animal unattended at any time, to permit a dog or other animal to run loose, crate a disturbance, or fail to properly control a dog or other animal. Owners must clean up after their dog or animal.
12. To ride, permit or allow horses on park property.
13. To (a) carry or have in possession a firearm, (b) shoot an air gun, gas gun, spring loaded gun or slingshot, or (c) shoot with bow or arrow.
14. To hunt, trap, kill, wound, capture, or intentionally disturb and bird, animal, or other wildlife.
15. To camp without a written permit issued by an authorized representative of the Board of Trustees
PENALTY
Violation of any rule or regulation or failure to perform required acts is punishable by a fine or not more than $100.00. For each subsequent offense, a fine of not more than $500.00 and/or a maximum jail sentence of 60 days may be imposed.
