Mrs. Pope reported that Mrs. Cianfaglione informed her that the state is requesting more soil boring tests at the location of the old convenient store. Mrs. Cianfaglione will contact Mrs. Pope after she receives a copy of the report.
Mr. McClintock reported that another recommendation from the Hambden Land Use Plan was to provide educational opportunities on agriculture to our residents. Ohio State University will be hosting a "Living Your Small Farm Dream" conference and trade show on March 27, 2010. The seminars will focus in the areas of: aquaculture; farm management; forages and pasture; livestock - exotic and traditional; horticulture - fruit and vegetables; natural resources; sustainable agriculture research and education; and organic production and marketing. FIRE DEPARTMENT Chief Hildenbrand reported that the new tanker truck is in service and the old tanker is ready to be sold. Mrs. Chorman has been given a description and pictures of the old tanker to advertise on GovDeals.com.
Chief Hildenbrand reported that the Hambden Fire Department will be holding its annual awards dinner on Saturday, February 20, 2010. Don Zimmerman's retirement party is being held in conjunction with the awards dinner.
FINANCIAL Mrs. Chorman reported that the Board of Trustees received a copy of the permanent appropriations. She asked the board if they had any questions or changes to the appropriations, there were none. RESOLUTION 2010-008: made by Nadine Pope, seconded by Edward Kaminski to approve the 2010 permanent appropriations as submitted by Mrs. Chorman. Upon call of roll: Mr. Kaminski - yes, Mr. McClintock - yes and Mrs. Pope - yes. Motion carried. Tomorrow Mrs. Chorman will mail the appropriations to the Auditor's office for filing. The township will be working with a $2,762,211.35 budget for 2010.
Mrs. Chorman submitted to the Board for approval and signature warrants #4205 through and including #4232 totaling $22,483.48. Backup was attached to the checks. She asked the Board if there were any questions or discussion required regarding the bills, if not they will stand as approved and be mailed out. There were no questions from the Board. Mr. McClintock had one questions on a fire department invoice that was answered by the fire chief prior to the meeting.
Mrs. Chorman submitted to the Board for approval and signature purchase orders #925 through and including #926. There were no blanket purchase orders. Mrs. Chorman asked the Board if there were any questions or discussion required regarding the purchase orders, if not they will stand as approved. There were no questions from the Board.
Mrs. Chorman submitted to the Board the January Financial Statement. The combined balance in the accounts is $1,289,445.86 RESOLUTION 2010-009 made by Nadine Pope, seconded by Edward Kaminski to approve the January Financial Statement as submitted. Upon call of roll: Mrs. Pope- yes, Mr. Kaminski- yes and Mr. McClintock - yes. Motion carried.
