Mrs. Pope reported that the Hambden Town Hall sign needs to be repaired. The picture on the top of the sign has bleached out from the sun and weather. Mrs. Pope will contact Mr. Melkerson concerning a new picture for the sign.
The Hambden Township sign poles need to be sanded and painted this summer.
Mr. Heald reported that the floor stripper and wax have been ordered for the old town hall floor.
Paul Molan stated that effective April 22, 2010 the EPA is requiring lead certification to work on any structure or renovation. This includes scratch and paint, re-painting, changing windows etc.
SAFETY Mr. Heald reported that he attended a pesticide re-certification class today.
PARK Mr. McClintock reported that the Park Board will be meeting on April 20th. Updates concerning the park are included in the March newsletter.
CEMETERY Mrs. Chorman submitted for approval two deeds for Mark Adams. He purchased 6 graves within 2 separate lots.
MISCELLANEOUS Mrs. Chorman reported she received the scrap tire grant application from Geauga Trumbull. RESOLUTION 2010-017 made by Nadine Pope, seconded by Edward Kaminski to apply for the scrap tire grant through Geauga Trumbull Solid Waste. Upon call of roll: Mrs. Pope- yes, Mr. Kaminski- yes and Mr. McClintock - yes. Motion carried. Mrs. Chorman will also be returning the paperwork for reimbursement of the Christmas tree grant.
Mrs. Chorman reported that the Geauga County Board of Elections has requested the use of the old town hall for the primary elections being held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Mr. Heald will open the building at 5:30 a.m.
Mrs. Chorman reported that she received the GovDeals resolution back from Assistant Prosecutor, Susan Weiland with some minor changes. RESOLUTION 2010-018 made by Nadine Pope, seconded by Edward Kaminski to use GovDeals as an internet auction site for Hambden Township items. Upon call of roll: Mrs. Pope- yes, Mr. Kaminski- yes and Mr. McClintock - yes. Motion carried. GovDeals will collect the money from the auction, withhold their fee and forward the balance to us when an item is sold. RESOLUTION 2010-019 made by Nadine Pope, seconded by Edward Kaminski to use GovDeals to sell the old mower which has been replaced. Upon call of roll: Mrs. Pope- yes, Mr. Kaminski- yes and Mr. McClintock - yes. Motion carried. RESOLUTION 2010-020 made by Nadine Pope, seconded by Edward Kaminski to declare the 1985 tanker truck as surplus equipment and to be sold as such. Upon call of roll: Mrs. Pope- yes, Mr. Kaminski- yes and Mr. McClintock - yes. Motion carried.
